Inspired from years of living in beautiful Hawaii, Carol Lackey keeps the essence of Hawaii close to heart and mind by bringing tropical flowers to life on canvas such that one can almost imagine catching a hint of fragrance on a tropical breeze. At age 75, Carol is finally bringing her talent to the world at the nudging of those close to her who have long recognized the quality her brush brings to canvas. Carol has long delighted in nature's many wonders and this appreciation and admiration is evident in her floral art, which seems to reveal the soul of a flower through each glad stroke of her brush.
From landscapes, architectural and other scenes, Carol extracts a mood and fills the canvas with moments one can imagine as if through memories or direct experience, and she creates places and spaces where the mind wants to go; places serene yet enchanting, familiar and compelling.
Carol, who appreciates the wonderful life she has been blessed to live, has decided that "retired" does not belong in her vocabulary. When not painting, she is busy volunteering in one of several service organizations, or traveling the world through the internet (and forwarding internet funnies or beauties :-)), enjoying water aerobics, her family and friends, bird-watching, squirrel-watching, reading, and listed here last but definitely not least, snuggling or chatting with her best friend, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Duncan
Carol's paintings can be found gracing the walls throughout a luxury vacation villa in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica--Casa de Anjali.
She hopes the prints you purchase will bring you delight for years to come..
Please feel free to contact Carol if you have any questions or comments.
